Priorities

Made myself some lovely sticky noodles (havent made/had any in a very long time). Organised bits and pieces in regards to my bike, I completed some concepts with Simon on how the scheme will look and discussed pro’s and con’s. Just waiting for the colour I picked to be ordered and then the fairings will be primed and painted which I cannot wait for. Won’t show any of the concepts I came up with, I’ll post the outcome of it all when its ready. Trying to get all of this bike stuff out of the way as soon as possible due the Defence Force.

I have been in contact with them today and they have me at the high end of the list due to the role I am applying for and would like me to be prepped and ready if they reschedule me for an earlier date than 18th of May. Its high time I got down and started studying really seriously. I guess in the back of my head is whether they want to try and get me into the mid year placements or have me ready for next year if I am successful in my application.

I really like looking at concept art as it gives fresh ideas and new ways to apply colour schemes etc. It is one of the reasons I have tried to come up with something that not many bikes have in terms of design for my one. Here are some concept arts for cars though and other intresting links.

Come back Stronger

Enjoy the little things that make you happy like a late night ride to the industrial zone and just relaxing with the engine off, the chilly night sky, watching the traffic going by on the freeway, knowing what ever up ands downs come my way I’ll stay the same; with a smile on my face.

Riding is fun

So good to be back on the road! A fairly windy day today and it is starting to be very cold in the leadup to Melbournes winter period. Went of to get a quote for new tyres today and I’ll be getting them changed on Friday next week for about $340 front and rear fitted with Dunlop Alpha-10’s.

Also went down to the Paint Centre to pick the new green I’ll be getting for the body kit. Im hoping to get something similar to the Mazda 2 green and a Kawasaki ZX6R green so it will be a step down from the bright green I currently have and more of a darker but gloss/matte finish or clear finish.

Oh I dropped my phone while riding haha because I forgot to zip up my pocket. I was cringing as cars went over it but luckily it was near the middle of the lane. The lady behind me pulled over to help me which was very nice of her. Phone has a battle scar on the top right corner *sad face*

So today is pooring down with much needed rain. I haven’t ridden a motorcycle in over 2 months. I’ve totally forgotten how to ride just looking at them. Got a call from Simon saying to come down and grab it just before lunch. As soon as I sat on it and started it up it was like everything just came back as second nature, shifting, throttle control etc. You would think that after my last experience with heavy rain and a motorcycle I would be nervous and not want to risk it but alas that is not the case. Rode it home in the rain haha. Then quickly got my suit on and put my riding gear over it and went to my interview in the rain on my bike. Think I put to much power on the lean so the rear slipped out at the big roundabout near my place but I recovered and went on my way. Funnily that didn’t faze me one bit having a near death right when I just got the baby back. I went on my way but decided to take corners slower as it was pooring down haha. Interview went very well I think from 1pm till about 3pm. But right now I’m just so happy to be riding again, it really showed how much I missed it. It feels alot more powerful now with the different engine but that may just be me getting used to riding again. My lack of paragraphs shows just how happy I am its back. New body kit is already in the works so I will have that soon.

Will be able to do a lot more things now with it back and finally get back to places like the Yarra Blvd, black Spur, Reefton Spur etc.

I missed my Baby, and it sounds different too with the new muffler and will look different soon too!

update: Just got a call back from DFR and looks like I’m booked in for the 18th of May for my full assessment. It could have been this Thursday but I just got rostered for a shift 30minutes prior and I’m probably not prepared enough for it anyway. Guess 18th of May is the first D-Day of my application.

Why is it we need to ask so many questions, and why do we feel we need to know everything about everything?

Is it to understand? From the moment you are born you learn and seek to know more; seek answers to your questions by feeling, experimenting, talking and listening. And if we didn’t ask questions we wouldn’t be here. No questions, no moving, no eating, no reproduction, complete nullity.

In regards to people, each individual has their own ‘movie’ which is their experiences in life so far. Dreams, mistakes, self doubt, confusion and challenges. Often when we meet one another we might talk about the weather, or how nice that car looks. Rarely does a stranger or another person take time to ask us about ‘our movie’.

But what is your motive? Do you really care, or are you obsessive, trying to hurt or do you find human behaviour an interesting subject.

Do you treat what they share with you in confidence? And more importantly how do you know what is confidential and what isn’t? What is the truth and what is a not?

Likewise how do you feel if someone started to ask you probing, relentless questions about your life, your secrets? Would you feel awkward, defensive, irritated, understanding, open & honest?

What gives a person the right to have the courage/lack of control to seek these answers? And what gives a person the right to fullfill/ignore the questions?

I am upset at myself because I thought I would not be bothered by the “being ignored” tactic, but I still feel it emotionally as a slight, dismissive, insulting, dehumanizing, rude, controlling, mean-spirited. It drove me crazy as I would try to figure out what I did wrong. So I Laughed. I find just about everything funny, including myself.

My To Do List

timesheet

Long weekend, worked most of it (one was a 21st for Gabby), went all IT and fixed peoples Wii and other folks internet/phone line connections (note: Jen needs to rewire her line). Got up early today and proceeded to wash my laundry finally and do a ’spring clean’ of my room. Still need to do the table filled with papers etc. but I’ll get to it. Slowly planning my room redevelopment and I’ll post design concepts soon I keep saying. I’m either going to use the BILLY or EXPEDIT from good old ikea as a base and modify them. Thinking black to seperate the room into sections as the colour for it.

ANZAC Day was yesterday, must remember to call up DFR tomorrow to try and book stage 3 as soon as possible. One bloke managed to do his entire process within 2 months and now has a spot for the mid year intakes, I doubt I’ll be as successful but I’ll do my best.

Need to pay my parking fine off. Speaking of which I have a healthy pay check coming soon so I’ll be able to do a few things hopefully with that. Did about 90+ hours this fortnight and only because I decided against working on Sunday for soccer instead.

Things I’m looking forward to this week include my job interview tomorrow, Iron Man 2 on Thursday and putting my name down for several things like absailing etc. etc.

Check out the Nissan 370Z made out of perspex, so awesome.

Whatever tomorrow brings, I’ll be there
With open arms and open eyes yeah
