Pallet Jack 2

First day of my long Dispatch tour of duty and I’ve been introduced  to a new toy I’m allowed to play with pictured \0/  If only there was a new toy to play with everyday. Sadly I was not able to use this new toy to move 200 boxes into the back of a Van just now, instead it was manual labour.  It’s almost lunch time and I’m starving, haven’t had breakfast either. Most likely going to Don Dons (I miss McDonalds). Had a yummy lunch but the sky decided to open up as soon as I went outside…

Just read an article on the state of 3D film making and how dodgy post production ‘cashing in’ films such as the recently released Clash of the Titans willing bring a swift end to all this 3D pay more crap. Besides the poorly done 3D, there was no Titans clashing either in the movie.

This round was filled with upsets in terms of my picking. Melbourne bounced back after their last round thumping and NM and Brisbane pulled out in the final quarters to win. Essendon was finally victories and against Carlton too so was very pleased about that and Freo overpowered the cats in the final term coming from behind.

Round 3 results: Collingwood vs St Kilda , North Melbourne vs West Coast Eagles , Brisbane Lions vs Port Adelaide , Richmond vs. Sydney Swans , Essendon vs. Carlton , Melbourne vs. Adelaide , Western Bulldogs vs. Hawthorn , Freemantle vs. Geelong

New pacific out tonight thanks once again to HBO Canada!

Don’t ask for it, go out and win it. Do that, or you won’t get anything.

Dog Laser Boy

A very windy day. Will be residing in Dispatch for the next two weeks at work so looking forward to the pay check when it rolls in. Draw up some sketches of what I might ‘renovate’ my room into. Teefury is currently selling the shirt spider pig, very tempted to get it but holding out. Enjoyed racing home from work last night in Dads car, made me miss the feeling of riding the bike.

Charles Dickens quote – ‘It was the best of times, it was the worst of times’ seems to have a similar modern meaning to ‘Yeah..but no’.

April the 9th

If you haven’t seen Date Night, go see it! J.B. Smoove was hillarous as the cabbie and I thought the screen dynamics of Steve Carrell and Tina Fay was a good match for most of it. It started off rather slowly but this was the first movie that got me laughing so hard in my seat mainly at the driving scene. Also Leighton Meester is in this film if only as a babysitter.

What else have been going on today within my mind?

An Autumn Day

Spent most of today inside packing clear plastic sleeves with A4 sized sheets of paper and a brochure for a ‘kids showbag’, a piss poor educational one at that. A beautiful day outside and at times it looked like the heavens were about to open but somehow managed to contain itself and revert back to a sunny day. A lot of construction work is also going on at my work currently and due to politics etc. all the events in that particular area have to be reshuffled to another location. Doing so increases the number of workers that need to supervise the event and it seems everybody is already working or has University which means new employees are been looked at. A colleague and I are still going to try and organise a movies/vid games night after my Christmas idea of laser tag in the heritage building was cut down.

Currently I’m still without a bike and public transport is a bitch that costs alot of money on full fare. I’ll probably go tomorrow and work on it again as it is mainly my laziness also that has put me in this position haha. Really need an adrenalin fix though so I’m probably going to go and do some abseiling commando style soon.

Anyway I’d write more but going out with people to watch Date Night starring Steve Carell from 40 Year Old Virgin and Tina Fey who famously impersonated Sarah Palin.

Easter Monday

Hope everyone has had a great Easter Weekend. What did I get up to? Suit up for morning mass, had soccer training yesterday afternoon and met the new coach, got back in touch with a mate who just came back to Melbourne who is in the Army, party Saturday evening after work, work was entertaining as I watched the whole Andy Muirhead stand up. Relaxing today watching the newest episode of The Pacific straight from HBO Canada etc. Read on for AFL news and interesting stuff!
