I guess writing the second half will have a different feel to it, I’ve had time to sit down and think about it and calm down in a sense since writing yesterday as soon as I was physically and mentally strong enough to come back home from Yarra Blvd. More after the jump.

It has all been blown so far out of proportion now. And I’m so thankful our taxpayer funds go to groups such as lifeline who spent a great deal of time helping me on 4 seperate occasions during the afternoon (different operators each time) while I was so confused, hurt, upset, angry and a range of other emotions that could have led me to do something stupid.

Guess I’ll write down my version of events while its still fresh in my memory. Read on after the jump.

I’ve been flatout working and it has been quite busy the last few days in Dispatch. I think this afternoon was one of the only times I managed a good break without phone calls, deliveries, paperwork etc. etc. Its also quite cold down in that area so I’ve started the habit of closing the door and turning the heater on my side on (it doesn’t do anything if the door is opened constantly).

A few people have been asking me about what they allow you to take, I’ve been stating the following:

- Sports Bra (haha reminds of the ongoing joke between E and myself who I had lunch with yesterday at The Lounge. Got myself a giant parma to her nacho’s.)

- Suit
- Collar Shirts
- Trousers
- Jumper
- Jacket
- Pajamas (only for the first two nights then we get military issued PJs)
- Shoes
- Thongs
- Towel x 1 (We get issued them)
- Civilian Socks x 4 (I’m planning to bring two pairs of soccer socks and two ankle socks)
- Toilet Articles (non-electric shavers etc.)
- Iron and Iron Cleaner
- Polishing Cloths
- Stamped Evelopes
- Mobile Phone (Taken away for first 4 weeks apparently)
- Wired non coloured Coat Hangers
- Running Shoes

All in one suitcase/sportsbag. I’m pumped. Catching up with friends and family.

Dispatch Boss

Speaking with some of my co-workers/friends I’ve come to the realisation that my last ever VA style shift was on July 27th and the 24th. All the work I’m currently doing is part of another division and these two weeks will be my final ones working for the job. I’ve started telling a few more people now and others have let slip to others that I’m leaving already. I’ve experienced alot at my current job and will hopefully keep in touch with most people there despite leaving.

Tomorrow I’m closing the gates for most of the day at dispatch since I’ll be entertaining some cops and other people while they transport the Ned Kelly stuff which is top secret. Fun.

Coming home tonight I got hit, or rather I t-boned the passenger side front door of a car that pulled out in front of me during standstill peak hour traffic at an intersection without lights. I crushed my nuts and slightly bent the forks and the wheel align.  Top left of the widescreen is cracked so my left mirror is slightly off. Good thing I have removed the new stuff and put the old bits on recently. I’ll probably put all the good stuff back on during the weekend hopefully. If I was going any faster or had reacted any slower with my breaking I would probably have slammed myself into the car or flipped over it, at least this time I didn’t get body slammed into the ground. Slight sore hand from breaking and my privates have recovered from been winded.

August 17th I head to Kapooka!

Just completed my PFA earlier today along with the bloodwork. Passed the PFA fairly easily, probably need to work abit on my sit ups but I didn’t get a call out on anything to improve like a few others. Doing my last two weeks of work for my current job then as of the 17th August I start my new life as an Australian Soldier. Looking forward to it.

Had the most important phone call of my life so far yesterday, its changed alot of things.

Saw inception last night, so many layers to it but some how they gell together really well and it all made sense with the sort of cliff hanger ending. That funny guy from 3rd Rock from the Sun and 10 Things I hate about you is pretty badass is this film.

We beat Ashburton 4 – 2 on Thursday night under a pitch with floodlights. I played as left back for most of the game except for 10 minutes right before the break. Felt very comfortable and solid plus with the pitch I was able to sprint alot more.

Hurray the Bombers beat the Saints! Was a big lol to read although we have beat them the last 3 games.

Top Secret Clearance and Security checks paperwork completed. PFA left.

Our game against Ashburton seems to be tonight instead of the weekend like usual so off to Thornbury tonight, good thing I dont have work rostered for tomorrow besides some errands.

Spend just under $1000 yesterday, a new pair of Kevlar jeans alone cost $300 ouch. Tomorrow can’t come soon enough, going to be an early start to the day and hopefully a good one by midday.

A beautiful day and I can’t wait for summer when I can go on long rides on similar weather. Two games against Monash University today which were really good except for another dodgy ref decision that cost us a win (two in a row now). I played right Wing and the pitch at Princes Park was alot firmer on the sides that allowed easier movement. Was really confident in several parts of my gameplay and even managed three shots on goal which were all on target but blocked. First one ended 2 – 2 (we were leading 2 – 1 till the soft dubious penalty was awarded) and the second game was a win 3 – 1. On both occasions Monash scored the initial goals but once we had composure it was all up hill.

Got a lucky Elephant present from Caitlin who just returned from India and she had a blast. It’s made from marble and looks really cool, just what I needed for Wednesday.

Lunch with C tomorrow and hopefully get some stuff out of the way this week. Also been having lunch with E the last week or so. Open house was fun. Starting next month I’ll be doing 3 weeks of full time work so looking forward to that.

Tax Return

I went to my personal tax agent yesterday after locating my Group Certificate (an invoice that details the amount of tax and gross from your employer, you get one for each job you hold). Anyway short story is that I’m getting a substantial amount back, roughly double and a bit of what I usually get back each financial year so I’m absolutely thrilled when it gets deposited into my bank account. Hurray for Tax return!

Also trying to finalise a new client with some freelance website work. Traffic this morning was absolutely horrible and I was filtering like crazy too.
